Chapter 1
An unusual day
“Uh,” Rita uttered. “Roy?”
Roy turned where Rita was facing and came face to face with a mech; its face drooling with sticky substance and growling disgustingly. Yuck, Roy thought.
“Bye bye, ”said Roy, throwing grenade into the air. The mech looked at the grenade as it fell. When it did, the mech noticed Roy and Rita were gone.
“Wait for it, ”Roy whispered to Rita.
Bang! The mech exploded, parts of it flying everywhere. The two salvaged everything they could. They even grabbed plenty of its fangs. That was because when they last fought a mech, one of its fangs came off. It made a good dagger and can even be a throwing knife. Rita discovered that it could be a throwing knife by throwing the only one they had to kill a tech. They even got confused of what to call them as mech and tech are the same. They discussed that the two had differences so they settled to call them differently.
“Hey!” Roy called. “Isn’t this supposed to be some kind of plasma cannon?”
“Maybe,” Rita muttered. “Why didn’t they use that against us?”
“How should I know?” Roy joked.
In the first few days of them fighting these monsters, they were terrified. Now that they were used to it, they don’t take these monsters seriously. And now, they found a plasma cannon. That was going to be confusing because they don’t usually have plasma cannons with them. The two siblings have been ravaging all kinds of parts and have even completed their blueprints but they haven’t discovered a plasma cannon until they destroyed the mech they fought. They were sure this was odd as they had been experiencing this life for nearly a year. Which meant that instead of continuing their lives fighting monsters forever, they had a chance to save themselves with a plasma cannon as a clue, guide, weapon or even a part to a bigger thing they have to build.
“Wanna give it a spin?” Roy winked at Rita.
“As long as it’s fun,” Rita grinned.
“Hey rustbrain!” Roy called to a tech. “Die!”
Roy fired the cannon and a blast was exerted by it and the blast went straight to the tech and it exploded, again dropping unusual parts.
“A force field generator?” Rita uttered. “What the what!”
“Cool!” Roy said. “This sword is out of our land!”
“Duh,” Rita replied. “That’s because it is.”
“Something smells fishy!” Roy concluded. “We need to investigate this.”
“Hey doofus,” Rita teased. “There’s no fish around here!”
